sustainble tourism certified
Australia’s first certified marina…
Coral Sea Marina is proudly the first marina in Australia to become Sustainable Tourism Certified through Ecotourism Australia, recognising our commitment as a business to minimising negative impacts and maximising benefits for the environment, communities, and culture.
This globally recognised certification places Coral Sea Marina amongst an elite group of businesses who demonstrate exemplary sustainability in the tourism industry and reflects the marina’s dedication to educating and inspiring boaters, the local community, and visitors about the natural environment, better boating practices and how to affect positive environmental change.

By leading the way in responsible tourism, Coral Sea Marina is setting a standard for others in the marina industry to follow.
Ecotourism Australia‘s is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation, established in 1991, that promotes and supports the ecotourism industry in Australia through building capacity and actively promoting sustainable tourism operations and systems. As the peak body for ecotourism and sustainable tourism they connect, champion, inspire and inform through strategic partnerships and global best practice standards.
Sustainable Tourism Certification assesses businesses, through third party auditing, against Ecotourism Australia’s internationally recognised ecotourism standard across the four pillars of sustainability: environmental, cultural, and socio-economic impact and sustainable business operations.
