COMMUNITY SUPPORT
We support a thriving, vibrant Whitsunday community and commit to actively contributing to the growth, development and well-being of the community and those who live and work here.
Here at Coral Sea Marina, we believe that supporting local organisations, clubs and schools helps build stronger connections within our community. Whether it is a local sports team, an a volunteer organisation, or an educational program, we support initiatives that promote safety, education, health, well-being and community. Through our Coral Sea Academy we provide opportunities to create community connections and foster relationships, to provide access to resources and provide resources to community groups who need support.
We are dedicated to being more than just a marina; we are committed to being an integral part of our community…

Voluntary Marine Rescue
As Platinum Sponsor of the Whitsunday Voluntary Marine Rescue (VMR), Coral Sea Marina was instrumental in the purchase of the VMR’s rescue vessel Coral Sea Marina VMR1.
With our sponsorship, the committed team of volunteers have a state-of-the-art rescue vessel, premium berthing and 24/7 access to fuel at their disposal. With this support, the volunteers are now able to respond quicker and more safely to maritime activations.
Coral Sea Marina is committed to a three-year sponsorship agreement. As the on-water tourism hub of the Whitsundays, our commitment to this worthwhile organisation is focused on ensuring the safety of locals and visitors on the water.
SICYC – Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia
Coral Sea Marina has been a proud sponsor of the Shag Islet Cruising Yacht Club (SICYC) through their annual Whitsundays Rendezvous, raising much needed funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA).
Donating considerable time, money and resources to this worthwhile cause and creating a welcoming atmosphere for the cruising fraternity each winter is part of our commitment. The Shag Islet Cruising Yacht Club has over 6000 members and has raised more than $600,000 dollars for the PCFA.

Our management team provides information sessions and hosts school excursions for local primary and secondary schools. Through the Coral Sea Academy we provide workshops and educational opportunities for youth specifically targeted at boating and the marine environment.
