QPWS is a Government Organisation in the Department of Environment and Science. The division’s primary concern is with the management and maintenance of protected areas within Queensland, to protect and manage Queensland’s parks, forests and the Great Barrier Reef for current and future generations.

Paper Sailors Rock offers unique sailing adventures, coastal passages and sail training with an RYA offshore Yachtmaster and Instructor. As a partner of Women In Boating, instructor Annette Hesselman is passionate about sharing her knowledge and encouraging other women to get out on the water.

Mainstay Sailing offer RYA accredited sailing courses in the heart of the Whitsundays. Partners in our Better Boating series, Mainstay offer training for people of all levels of experience. Practical courses are run on ‘Mowhawk’ a Beneteau 40.7, ideal for training in a safe and comfortable environment.

Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ), previously Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR) Whitsunday, is the state’s new, single, integrated volunteer marine rescue service, keeping people safe on Queensland’s waters. In the words of Little Fish Tourism ‘knowledge is power and education is key’! We are working with Little Fish Tourism in 2022 to take Coral Sea Academy ‘on the road’ educating people along the East Coast of Australia on the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. Little Fish partner with the Coral Sea Academy by coordinating Master Reef guides to our events to showcase the magic of the reef.

Tangaroa Blue is a not-for-profit dedicated to the removal and prevention of marine debris, one of the largest environmental issues worldwide. They have successfully created the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) a citizen science network that work on solutions to stop of the flow of litter at the source.

The Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef’s mission is to protect and conserve the Great Barrier Reef, and reefs around the world. From ditching single-use plastics to citizen science and world-leading research – now is the time to act.

Reef Catchments is a team of skilled and outcome-focused people who are dedicated to looking after the environment in the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac region. They are the Natural Resource Management group for the region, facilitating change and working for long-term solutions to sustain, protect, and improve our region’s natural resources and environment.

Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network are a community led network driven to reduce suicide and its impact on the Whitsunday region. They achieve this through supporting groups from within the community to deliver education, training and by inspiring conversation and collaboration.
